A small, early maquette for the Shakespere paper sculpture we worked on with the Shakespere Birthplace Trust and Real Studios. Now sitting on the studio shelf gradually yellowing….
Last week I was lucky enough to be asked to demonstrate my work to HRH The Prince of Wales at The Artworker’s Guild, where I am a Brother. He was there to open the new covered courtyard and unveil the inevitable (but beautifully carved) plaque. Afterwards he’d arranged to meet some of the Brothers and see them in action. It was an ‘informal’ visit with hand-shakes all round, so I never got to bust-out my curtsey. He did however spend time with each of the 15 people demonstrating their crafts and was unsurprisingly most interested in our architectural cards.
Business as usual resumed this week…
